TH-41PZ81B

Panasonic TH-42PZ81B 42" Full HD Plasma TV

The TH-42PZ81B is one of the new Full-HD models with High Moving Picture Resolution, Advanced Networking Capabilities and freesat built into the TV itself. "freesat" is the new digital satellite service that offers HD television programmes.

With the TH-42PZ81B having freesat built in, it means that you can enjoy High Definition, clear images with vivid and sharp colour. This is also combined with multi-channel sound and a variety of services that are interactive.

Because the PZ81 series has Intelligent Frame Creation (IFC) it can produce crystal clear moving pictures which don't flicker or distort any way. A 50Hz video input working with the IFC can greatly improve fast moving scences. The TV will actually insert more frames, calculated by the speed and direction of movement, meaning there is a smoother picture quality.

The new Real Black Drive system enhances the contrast greatly. Every scene has an amazing balance of light and shadow, improving scences in the darkness. 5,120 Equivilent Steps of Gradiation edify images that are natural, for example, sunsets. An advanced panel structure and a newly developed filter, produces richer, more vivid colouring.

The TV also has a SD memory card slot, so you can view a slideshow of photos from your digital camera. Furthermore, if you have a HD camcorder and you play it though the TH-42PZ81B, the picture will completely fill the big screen in High Definition.

Freesat Built In

Freesat is a British free-to-air digital satellite television service developed by the BBC and ITV plc. The service began broadcasting on 6 May 2008 and offers a satellite alternative to the Freeview service on digital terrestrial television, with a selection of channels available without subscription for users purchasing a receiver. The service makes use of the additional capacity available on digital satellite broadcasting to offer high-definition channels.
